Bantam AAA Coaches Selected

WRSSBA is very pleased to announce the selection of Jordan Broatch as Head Coach and Shayne Wilson as Assistant Coach of the 2012 Bantam AAA team. These two long-time baseball players and baseball enthusiasts are looking forward to building and incorporating a college based practice plan for our association’s younger elite baseball athletes. Jordan and Shayne will focus on player development, with particular emphasis on improving the individuals’ fundamental skills along with their physical conditioning, which will allow the team to execute intelligent decisions in both the offensive and defensive parts of the game. Their fresh approach to practising and athletic development will allow our young players to prosper, which will make way for an easier transition into elite levels of competitive baseball.

JORDAN BROATCH – Head Coach

Jordan’s expertise lies in the areas of pitching and infielding.

  • Team BC (2004, 2005, 2007, 2008)

    • Pitcher of the Year (2008 & 2009)
  • Regina Red Sox (2010)

Coaching Experience:

  • Long-time volunteer with Kids Camps
  • Big League Experience Baseball Camp Coach (2007, 2009)
  • WRSSBA Winter Training Assistant (2011)
  • Langley Blaze Assistant Coach (2011)

SHAYNE WILSON – Assistant Coach

Shayne’s expertise lies in the areas of hitting and outfielding

Playing Experience:

  • Team BC 2005
  • Canada Cup All-Star Junior National Team Member (2006)
  • Minnesota Twins 16th round draft pick (2006)
  • Iowa Western CC (full scholarship)
  • JUCO World Series (2007 & 2008)
  • Canisius College (NCAA Division 1)
  • Alaskan Baseball Elite Summer League (2009)
  • Conference Champions – Canisius College (2010)
  • All Conference Player (every year of college)

Coaching Experience:

  • Team BC Assistant Coach (summers of 2006 & 2007)
  • Hitting instructor for younger players (2011)
  • WR Bantam AAA Assistant Coach (2011)
